Today is my Friday. The only other times I get to say that are on Fridays. It feels really good to sit here on a Thursday and say, “Today is my Friday!” I hear people say that often, and it’s always been nonsense to me. Not today – no nonsense.
I have two books in the mix right now. Two books that I’m writing, not reading. Which reminds me to go to Chase’s and borrow a book from him. I’ll put that in my notes. Anyway, I get it, writing books is not an easy task. I read an article the other day about getting books published and how it’s very likely not to happen. It’s so hard. Blah, blah, blah. Pipe down. I’m just doing this to appease me.
I’ve lined up some possible titles for any future “pieces” I write. These might even be possibilities for the books that I’m piecing together right now.
- Can I Borrow an Ounce of Your Beauty (courtesy of Dorothy – could also be the title of a Bruno Mars song)
- Stop Doing Things Like That (A book on bullying, because I was “bullying” Dara and said that)
- You’ve Got Stamina. Call Me. (A book on ultra running)
- Your House is Not Haunted, You’re Just Lonely (A book on loving yourself before you can be in love)
- What Would Taylor Swift Do? (A book on how not to treat your boyfriend(s))
- If I Had a Nickel for Every Time Someone Thought We Were Married (A story of the real “friend zone.”)
- The Ides of February (Just another sappy love story)
- The Water in the Cup is at the Halfway Mark (A pessimist’s struggle with optimism)
- I’m Fine (A book on what women really mean)
- Was that China? (The truth about WalMart)
- Deen-Size Me (A knock-off of the documentary Super Size Me based on Paula Deen of the past)
- You're an Inconvenience to Me (this is just a compilation of things that annoy me - people who jaywalk, people who take up the entire width of a running trail, etc.)
- Earth, Wind, and Hell Fire (The story of the Texas summer of 2011)
- Shark Week (A Women's Log Journal and how to cope with PMS)
- Slow Dancing in a Burning Continuum Room for Squares (The story of a girl's secret obsession with John Mayer...so, my autobiography)

I really want to read The Water in the Cup is at the Halfway Mark.
