I've seen and heard - observed - a lot of things lately. I'm like a cat staring out of a window all day. I've thought about trying some new things. I've even gotten a haircut since I last wrote a blog. Here is my thought process to get you through the next two weeks:
1. On my way to work this morning, I saw a young man at a stoplight driving a Camry. He had on a suit and tie (JT style) and was rubbing his hands together like he was plotting something. He was very handsome and then I saw the bluetooth. Do not date this guy, ladies. You'll never know when he's talking to you.
2. When I get back from Nicaragua, I'm starting a new training program to help me run a marathon in 4-6 months. Robert says he could run a marathon in one month. I like his confidence, and one day I hope to be that confident in my running abilities. Enjoy your time with me now, because this training thing is going to consume me. I'm very excited and I'm very serious.
3. I just saw a guy walk by with dark, spiky hair, wearing a button down shirt, carrying blue prints. I'm pretty sure it was Ted Mosby.
4. Last night I finally made a sea salt spray for my hair. I say finally because I've been thinking about making it for like three years. My hair is more stubborn than I am. I sprayed my wet hair with it and went to bed. Woke up and I look like I've been on a beach. I like it. I'm so excited about it, I annoyed Dara with it first thing this morning. Because of this, I can either sleep later or I can wake up earlier and run before work.
5. Today, my best friend Kristen finds out if she is having a Mr. or Miss Gardner! I'm so excited! I need to know if I should bring back pink or blue maracas...
6. I've been using baking soda and apple cider vinegar on my face a lot lately. I don't apologize for the smell. My face, aside from the typical monthly problems, has looked superb because of this. I'm not going completely all natural over here, but I am going to attempt to make my own deodorant soon. Don't judge me.
7. I hurt by back, so I decided I shouldn't run any significant distance yesterday. Instead, I ran a 5k and my back hurts again today. Because of this I cannot wear high heels to work. This is detrimental to my calves, quads, and glutes. Wearing heels also give off a better sense of body posture. I'm sad in flats.
8. I started following a friend on Instagram and immediately unfollowed them after I noticed their first posts of the day were selfies. There should be a one selfie a week maximum. Unless, something amazing happens to your hair or face, one a week is enough. I'm going to post a selfie today, because I'm THAT excited about my hair. I know what you all look like and I think you are all beautiful or handsome. But, seriously...I know what you all look like.
9. I've shopped at Drug Emporium many times, but for some reason on Saturday I decided it is the best place ever. Why do I go anywhere else?!
10. We're visiting an orphanage next week and Johnathan says it will tug at our heart strings and make us want to take one of the kids home. How would my roommate feel about that? That's what I have to tell myself.
11. Facebook has finally started rolling out Graph Search. Fantastic. It's an easier form of stalking. Everyone get the complaining out of your system now. Start forming chain statuses about "According the Article 349 Section 1234.5, Facebook does not have the right to allow searching from friends of mine who have gone to The University of Texas at Tyler. Make this your status...blah blah. Cupcakes." All I think about are cupcakes 97% of the time.
12. I really want to go to Disney World. I really want to go hiking. I really want to stand on top of mountain. I really want to be outside. It's supposed to be 100 degrees today.
13. I really need someone in my life to get a dog. You know who you are. I'm not trying to force you into this, but I think getting a dog is a great idea. Besides, I really like dogsitting and talking puppy talk with dogs!
14. I don't watch much TV, but someone please tell me how I am already on Season 8 of Bones? I don't recall much of anything that has happened in my life between Season 1 and Season 8 Episode 4, because that's where I'm at right now. Because of this show, I expect all murders to be solved in 43 minutes. I read an article last week about a body that was found a few days prior to the article being written. They had yet to discover the victim's identity and the cause of death. I literally thought to myself, "Bones and Booth would've figured this out by now..." Remember that thing I said about compassion?
15. Finally, I am so thankful for the handful of people who read my blog and are quite consistent in asking me to "please write more blogs!" I'm very sorry I have been stingy in posting blogs this year. It's been a new a year and a very different year for me. My mind is full of many thoughts that I have not been able to eloquently piece together to put out on the interwebs. My life has also been so awesome that I don't have time to write about it all. Plus, this whole work thing I do every day.
I'll leave my blog for the next couple of weeks with this song, that I love so much. As soon as I heard it a few months ago, I thought "that's how I feel..." And still feel.

I'm never annoyed by texts about pretty hair! :) Unless they're sent before 8 when I'm still getting ready and (most likely) still fussing with my own hair.
ReplyDeleteI DO LOVE it so much!!!! I feel that the lyrics of this song need to be tattooed on my arm or something. Is that too much? I'm pretty sure that I will love it forever.
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOU!!
