Let's Have A Good Monday. Days 3 & 4.

Another weekend gone.  It’s a shame.  It was a good weekend too.  A lot of sleep was had and a few goods times were thrown in there as well.  Seriously, I slept quite a bit.  I rolled out of bed at noon yesterday and I think 11:40 on Saturday.  I’m not ashamed.  I’m rested.

Everything went as mentally planned.  Saturday, Shawn and I went grocery shopping, I bought a bus pass and mentally I was thinking “we should use our tokens we have left over from the batting cages,” but even better – Marcos wanted to throw a baseball around.  I don’t know if I was invited, but I was there because I like to play catch.  If I had stayed home, I would have baked something like three loaves of banana bread and snickerdoodle brownies, which would then lead to diabetes.  Really, it was for the best that I tagged along.

I still made snickerdoodle brownies…

Saturday recap:
This is what the end of playing catch looks like.

I made that pizza.  As in, it wasn't a frozen pizza.  Thought you should know - I make pizza.

And this stuff is awesome.  That is all.

I took this picture because these books had been on the coffee table for about a week until I moved them last night.

That was my Saturday in a nutshell.  My plans for Sunday weren’t what I imagined.  I wanted to sit around, clean, sit around, and clean.  That’s what my plan was.  That did not happen, but I can’t complain because we went to the arcade.  Roger, Christal, Shawn and I went to an arcade.  There’s no age limit on that, at least I hope not because we range from ages 24 to 29.

At the arcade, I learned that I need to work on my air hockey and racecar driving skills.  I’m OK at basketball, but really the basketballs are too small and flat.  I’m average when it comes to skee-ball and I will never know if I’m better than Shawn at Dance Dance Revolution because that’s just something he won’t take part in.  I’m OK with that.  I’ve been attracted to Shawn for seven years now, and at this point I don’t think there’s much he could do to make me not attracted to him, but sometimes we should be on the safe side.

The day would have been a nice, child-like day, but there was some vulgarity thrown around at the arcade and we ended the day with pizza and hard cider.

Sunday recap:
Little bit of DDR for Roger and Christal.

It's "Simpsons" related, so he had to play.

Men being men and doing manly things like playing air hockey.  Christal beat me, Shawn beat Roger, Christal beat Shawn, and I said I'd happily take 4th place.  I didn't feel like actually losing again, so I just took it.

And then Shawn got me a ninja Care Bear and a Chinese finger trap.  Swoon.

Even though it's been raining since Saturday afternoon, it panned out to be pretty good.  And now it's Monday.

It's amazing what a week and an attitude adjustment can do for a person.

Let's have a good Monday, shall we?
