- Wavy because I didn't straighten it

We'll see how this goes. I've never watched a full episode of Mad Men, and I work in advertising. Blasphemy! Are we going to get some brandy or a martinis for this photo shoot? I feel like we should.
I Digress
October snuck up on us yesterday. This past year went by really fast, and while I love October, I'd like for things to slow down a bit every once in a while. It went by fast because year 26 was a pretty good one. Year 25 was a little crazy, so 26 made up for it. The past year has been a reminder that God gets us out of the dark corners of life. He may make us wait it out for longer than we want, but He's always faithful and He always comes to our rescue.
And we come out better than we were before we got stuck.
October is my favorite month. If you know me, you already knew this. The weather starts to change and fall truly arrives. The leaves turn from green to orange, red, and yellow. You can comfortably sit around a fire in a friend's backyard. Who doesn't love a good fire and the smell of one?
Aesthetics aside, I love October because for me it's the beginning of a new year. I can sit back and give myself a performance review. What can I do different for 27?
I think it's important for us to step outside of ourselves every once in a while and take a look around. Step out and take a look at yourself in this world. It's possible. I have to be in the quiet and I have to ask God, "What am I doing? What is my place right now? What is the impact?" He'll show me. He always does.
I have no problem asking God to reveal myself to me. Seriously, what do I look like? What does my heart look like? I ask God to reveal His dreams for me. He's done it. I ask Him for prophetic words when the time is right. He's done it.
God came through for me a lot this last year. He answered a heap of requests. He did some things I didn't ask for. He has me in waiting for other things.
This month I will be in prayer about my next year. What am I going to put more of in my life a 27? What will I do differently? What will I add? What are the plans You have for me? Even if You only show me the blueprints, that's enough.
Also this month:
I will watch a lot of football.
College basketball practice starts.
I will drink a plethora of Salted Caramel Mochas from Starbucks.
I'll add wine colored lipstick to my makeup regimen.
I'll at some point decide what to be for Halloween.
My brother might call me on Halloween to tell me Happy Birthday. His wife has done good job reminding him that my birthday is not on Halloween and Halloween is not my birthday.
I will start to change my running schedule based on sunrise and sunset.
It's still intact:
