I feel like a blessed lady. I feel like when I woke up this morning, God knew that I was going to need some happiness on this Sunday.
I decided to spend my weekend in Tyler and I planned it out: Hang out with Kristen, hang out with Dara, hang out with Dara, hang out with Kristen, and go back home. I did just that. Simple. When Dara and I were out last night, we ran into my friend Staci. So of course, that was nice.
Then today, a couple of things happened that I'm not going to lie, mentally pissed me off. But fortunately, when Dara and I went to lunch, I got out of the car and saw Robert getting out of his truck. So that was a nice surprise. Then we saw Christi, and Daniel, etc.. I was getting to have lunch with some of my favorite people. Can't complain.
Dara and I then go to Starbucks and none other than Robert shows up there. Can't complain. We sat outside and talked for a bit and really it made me miss it. And it also made me happy. I've been mentally battling something for the past week and then I got mentally angry with it again. Then I realized that I got to spend some pretty good time with Kristen, Dara, and Robert today, and I have to wonder why I get so frustrated when I get all of this?
God knows what I need to get me through those frustrating moments. He knows what I need to stop over-thinking, over-analyzing, and just relax. Those three did not know that I was mentally in a bad mood, but of course God did. And God pretty much said, "By the grace of, well, Me, I'm going to help make you feel better. Here are your peeps."
I felt like myself today for the first time in a few weeks. I hate feeling like this and I hate even more being like this, but like I put in that last blog: Don't let anyone steal your tenderness. It's OK to get upset, angry, embarrassed, or sad because God gave you the ability to have those emotions. Just don't let those emotions get to anyone else.
I wish I could control my feelings and anxiety in my head. I don't know when I'll be OK with some things, but I do know in the meantime and after that, I've been blessed with some pretty awesome people near and far.
So this is just a thanks to my friends who have unknowingly helped me get through a strange, all in my head week. Plus, I really like this picture of Dara, Robert, me, and Kristen at my costume party last year. We look ridiculous. Well, I look fabulous.
